By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know how to study English effectively and how to use Global Success textbooks and the methods of using the textbooks and workbooks.

Independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence.
Have an overview on the structures, topics of English 8 as well as some main grammar points Sts have to catch during the school year.
Have a concept of exams, checking old lessons, doing home works, follow requirements of teacher in class and out class.

Have positive attitude towards learning English 8.
Can make self-plan for learning during the school year, for balancing learning time among all subjects including English.
Raise Sts’ interest of learning English at school.
